Our work is charged on an hourly rate depending on the seniority and the experience of the solicitor involved. We advise clients of our hourly rate for each fee earner when the appointment is made. At your first meeting we will advise you on the anticipated level of fees for your case and the options available to you for funding. We will confirm this to you in our retainer letter which we ask you to sign.
Whilst we do not deal with Legal Aid cases, we will advise you if we think you are eligible for public funding. We will be happy to refer you on request to our associated firm, Grahame Stowe Bateson, which has four offices in Leeds and one in Harrogate, and from where public funding is available to its clients.
All clients worry about the cost of a case, especially clients abroad and we understand your concern and do our best to keep costs contained. You should not allow worry about how to meet the costs put you off obtaining advice, even if you live abroad, because we will advise you of all the available options.
